Lawn ? re: weeds and edgers
I'm sure it has been asked and answered before, but since our search never works...
How do you handle the vines and weeds all through the grass?
Do you have an edger you can rec?
Re: Lawn ? re: weeds and edgers
I don't have any "green" ways with the lawn or anything...
We use a broad-leaf spray that attaches to the hose.
Hubby uses a Ryobi weedeater with changeable head attachments from Home Depot. He has the edger and blower to go with it.
This. We use a push mower and an electric weed whacker. Sorry to PP, but I couldn't imagine spraying substances that are designed to kill any living creature they touch onto my lawn where my dog, cat, and myself walk.
We pull out dandelions by hand and the rest just stay. Our yard isn't pretty up close, but it's green and not something I really care much about. I figure they are all plants and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What makes grass so much better than clover or other green "weeds?"
I think ours is not totally horrible because DH doesn't mow the lawn too short or too often. Keeping it on the high side makes the roots stronger which naturally prevents weeds from spreading. At least that's what I've heard.
We use a rechargeable battery powered weedwacker. I don't remember the brand.
Yeah I really don't want to use a chemical spray, it is not worth it to me. I have been reading about pulling the weeds and then using corn gluten meal, but I can't find any reliable info yet.
