Beach at Sandy Point State Park?
Can anyone tell me what the beach is like at MD's Sandy Point State Park? is the sand coarse or comparable to other beaches like Rehobeth. If anyone has been there this time of the year please share your experience. What is the parking situation there? I would like to do a day trip there this weekend and find a great crab shack. Any seafood restaurant recommendation is appreciated.

This is late, but sandy point isn't really great or worth it. Sorry. It's very crowded on the weekends. I had a friend lifeguard there in high school (I grew up in Annapolis) and the stories were enough to keep me away for a long time.
I highly recommend their festivals, etc, but I wouldn't go there to go to the beach.
As for restaurant recs, head over the bridge to the crab deck, harris' or anything on kent island. If you want to head back toward Annapolis, Cantler's is great in the off season. Buddy's is overpriced and over rated.
