Where can I find this 6-light storm door?
YHL featured the house below on a house tour some time ago, and I am in love with with the storm door. I tracked it down to the manufacturer, which is in North Carolina, and the nearest store to me that has it is like 100 miles away. I could get it shipped to me for $150, but do you think I can find something else like it? I've tried to look at major retailers like Pella and Anderson, but they don't have something like this. I specifically want a 6-light storm door. If anyone has leads on something similar, I am all ears.
Re: Where can I find this 6-light storm door?
I don't think 100 miles is all that far to go for something you know you love. If you think about it. Assuming you already have a truck you can use to pick it up in. If the truck gets 10 mpg, round trip at $4 per gallon it will cost you $80 to pick the door up and that is a pretty conservative estimate. Around here gas is 2.59 right now and most of the truck owners I know get closer to 15-20 mpg.
Find another store you want to go to around the store with the door, or somewhere special you want to eat, and take half a day and enjoy it.
I would do the same. While we have a HD and Lowes here, if we really want to do much else (like get furniture) we'd be driving about 100 miles (though round trip) to pick it up. Take a day trip, it's a beautiful door!
