Any luck transplanting these plants?

DH and I did some landscaping last weekend and some plants/bushes are doing well, but several look like they are not going to make it. Has anyone successfully transpanted baptisia (indigo), sage, or delphinium?

Baptisia and sage, yes. Never grown Delphinium.

Delphiniums are best when divided/transplanted in the early spring. In general they don?t like to be moved, though. Sage shouldn?t be a problem.

  • I live in Montreal, Canada.  I transplanted 2 fairly large delphiniums last week.  So far they seem to be doing well.  I waited until they were almost done flowering before moving them.  I watered a lot for several days after doing the transplanting.
