Best Camera

Hi Everyone! It's time I have to purchase a new camera! Looking for a major upgrade.. something less than $650... I keep looking at peoples food blogs etc. and keep seeing all these beautiful pictures. I am dying to get a new one! Anybody in love with their camera? What's your suggestion?

Re: Best Camera

  • I have a Nikon DSLR D3000 w/ a 55mm zoom lens, we paid around $500 for it new from Cameta Camers on ebay.  They are an autorized Nikon dealer so the warrantly is good.  We love it!  If you want to upgrade to DSLR, this is a great site to start your research.

  • I currently have a Nikon D90 that I love! It would be a little out of the price range you are looking for though. My first DSLR was an Olympus Evolt E420, and I really liked it. I bought it on Amazon for around $350, plus it had a kit lense that came with it. HTH!
  • I LOVE my Nikon D40.  It's just the entry level SLR, which is still more than enough for us.  I think it's around $450 or so (I got it for Christmas a couple years ago).  We just use the auto mode because I haven't really learned all the features, so I know it does so much more!  Plus, it's a little more compact than the other SLR's.

Good Luck!! This was my best upgrade :-)

  • I just got hte NIKON D 5000 and love it.  It was a bit more than you wante dot spend, about $699.  The D3000 is in your range but from what I read, you will out grow it quickly, that is why I went with the D5000.
