Introduction & a Question
Hi Ladies!
I'm Jenn. I just got married approximately one month ago, so I'm breaking my addiction to The Knot and making the move over here! Hubby and I are fairly new to Portland. We moved here about 6 months ago from South Florida for hubby's job.
Aside from introducing myself I wanted to ask if any of you had recommendations for temp agencies in Portland. I haven't worked since we moved here, but now that the wedding & honeymoon are over, I really want to get back out there. I'd like to try temping, but there are so many temp agencies out there, I don't really know where to start. Do any of you have any recommendations?

Hey Jenn, I am Jenn as well!
What type of work are you looking to do? Most of the agencies (including the one I work for) fill specific field niches.
For clerical I would try Volt though. I am taking a guess that's what you're lookin for. (I do not work for them... but I know they stay consistently busy). Also, almost all the agencies in this area post positions on craigslist.

Hi Jenn! Thanks so much for the info. Yes, I am looking for clerical work. Before moving here, I worked in local TV news for almost a decade, but have been wanting to get out of the industry for a long time. This move was the perfect excuse to make a clean break! I'm not exactly sure what I want to do now for work, so I figured doing some temping work for the time being would be good for me & help broaden my horizons beyond the media world.
