I seem to remember you being very good with your digital camera.  Do you have any recomensations to learn more.  I am not very good at shooting in malual and have no clue what half the stuff is on my camera.  I have canon rebel.  I will have a bit of down time in a few weeks and would like to work with it more.  Thank you.

Re: Hound**

  • I've never read the book myself, but a lot of people suggest understanding exposure, you could see if you could check it out from the library before buying it.

You can check out these lessons too, I think they are pretty great

    http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/mb.asp?cmd=display&forum_id=21&thread_id=2953864

in the first thread where it says click here you can download the first 6. They are super easy to read and understand. There are 12 total if you finish the first 6 you can google for the lessons 7-12.

You can try lurking on the photography board also, the more you lurk there the more you will pick up and start to understand.

I use Nikon so I can't tell you a thing about rebels :) The only way to figure out what the buttons do and what's in your menus is to read the manual.

The only way to get better is to practice, practice, practice, have fun!

    Ditto Hound's recommendations.

I have Understanding Exposure and it's an awesome resource.

The Two Peas lessons are also great, and cover a lot of the same topics as UE does.

And I'm a Canon girl (as is Punk*Mommy), so if you have any Canon-specific questions, feel free to ask. :)

  • Merin, I completely forgot you.  I'm sorry.  Thank you both for the info.
