Ours was fun-- non stop fun- thus why I need several of these  Coffee this morning. ZZzzzzzz

Re: Happy Tuesday..

  • I hate seeing no replies - Happy Tuesday!

We had a very busy weekend working on the house and enjoying our first block party with our new neighbors. Our cul-de-sac is awesome. :) Jello shots, chili cook-off, hands-free donut eating contests, water balloon fights among the adults, swimming, firepits with smores... it made Monday morning painful.

  • Happy Tuesday!

My weekend was ok. My daughter was with her dad so I was kind of bummed without her. I was throwing myself a little pity party.

Fri- went out with a friend and drank too much

Sat- aunt's bday lunch, friends house for UFC

Sun- lazy morning, went to my moms for the 4th to cook/ BBQ

Mon- errands, picked up daughter, spent the afternoon/ evening napping, playing and at my moms for dinner

awe - wait for it - some

we went to a friend's house down by some lake and chilled.  we had fun except for one of the wives who I swear is bipolar - one minute she's the life of the party, the next minute she's sulking in the corner.  if there was ever a case for someone to be on meds, it would be her.  :/

  • Oh here's my story: Went to a family BBQ on Sunday. SIL brought me a bag full of cute hand me downs-- but they weren't just ANY hand me downs... they were maternity clothes hand me downs.

This is what she said as she handed the bag to me- big smile on her face:

"I don't want you to be offended ok? It's just that I'm not going to use them anymore. I brought these for you- You'll use them next I'm sure!" Tongue Tied

Sigh.. at least I didn't get a happy soon to be mother's day card this year. I GET THE HINT FAMILY I GET IT! Back off the ovaries people!

  • that is mortifying!

And to top it all off I told hubs and he didn't get what was so  mortifying about it.I tried to explain that it's girl code- you just don't do that. He didn't get it. I think he thinks it's funny.

I would donate the clothes to a womens shelter and tell them you found someone who needed them more than you...who can argue with that?!
