Poll: For those who dye their hair
How long do you let your roots grow out before you get them touched up?
Re: Poll: For those who dye their hair
I don't know if highlights count, but I only do highlights like once a year, or every couple years (my hair has blonde in it naturally, so it isn't that drastic when it's growing out). So, never?
I'm sure this is not helpful though, and not really what you are looking for... ;-)
Once upon a time I used to get my hair done every 6-8 weeks. Mostly highlights, but some low-lights too.
Now? I'm lucky if I do it every 6-8 months. Probably doesn't help that I haven't found a stylist here that I love that doesn't make me take out a personal loan to get it done.
I have about 1/4-1/2" roots right now, and they really piss me off. I can't remember when I went last (probably 1-2 months ago).
Anywho...I'm just trying to gauge if I'm letting it my roots grow out too much?
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!

Ugh. So I'm big on hair care... huge. But I'm trying to grow mine out to my natural color (dirty blonde). I used to do every 4-5 weeks with my hair stylist, because grow out makes me puke. She's now pushed me out to every 8 weeks, have to have grow out to get my hair back to natural, and we're weaving in a lot less- mainly just weaving in some lighter blonde on the top, and some more of my natural tones into the rest.
I hate grow out, though the up keep was just getting a bit to time consuming for me.
