Rant and Rave...
Ok, so a few of you know from FB that today's my birthday and I am stuck at work which is fine, no biggie really, but I'm a little upset that Mac (DH for those of you who don't know - not sure if I have used his name before) didn't plan ANYTHING at all. He didn't even pick out my present for me. He made me pick last night what I wanted and ordered it online so I won't even have anything to open on my own birthday (my parents gave me their presents yesterday).
So lunch time comes around today and he hasn't called or even TRIED to do anything with me for lunch around 11:45 I decide to call him and he doesn't answer. I call for over an hour and a half before finally deciding to just go by myself. He finally calls as I am leaving and already late getting back from lunch and said it never even crossed his mind to do anything with me today. 
I know I sounds like a five-year-old demanding attention but he knows what a big deal birthdays are to me and I always make such a fuss about his and do everything I can to make it extra special. I'm just kind of disappointed that he didn't even try more than anything. I hope my dinner tonight with everyone goes better....
This leads into my rave, I decided to get Paradise Bakery for lunch (one of my faves) which landed me at AZ Mills, normally I would go to the further one to avoid the mall but I wanted to shop. Anyway I found my dress for my pink party this weekend! Yay!! Well, actually I found 2... but they were BOTH on sale so how could I say no? They are both completely different styles so I figure I'll just see which one I'm in the mood for more that day

and I still have my rehearsal dinner dress I COULD wear if I decided against both of the new ones sine not too many people saw me in this that will be at the party.

As far as the dress goes i love them all... I am partial to the first one mostly because I love this style even though it would never look flattering on me... hahaha I am glad that they were both on sale and the one from your rehearsal dinner is super cute!

I love all the dresses! I think I actually like your rehearsal dress best, but the 2nd one would be such a cute party dress. And the first one is hawt! You've got a tough decision to make! You'll have to let us know which one you decide on!

Thanks girls!!! I don't think he has anything planned tonight - especially since I planned the dinner for tonight, but maybe. I'm not getting my hopes up though, it's really no reason to get mad at him and I don't want to set him up to disappoint again without him even being aware of the first disappointment. I think I just needed to vent a bit and you girls are the best at letting me do that
The dresses pics of the dresses are funny because, 1-the second one is not nearly that short on me, and 2-both give such different looks. The first looks much older and more sophisticated on me and the second looks very girly and kind of young/flirty on me. I tend to go with the more party/younger look for my birthday but I guess we will see what mood I am in this year when the party gets here... stay tuned!

BOO Boys are DUMB! My boy (though I love him dearly) is a horrible planner as well.
I vote for the first one! and now I'm in the mood for some retail therapy!
he didn't wind up doing anything but at the end of the night, I stayed and chatted with friends and then headed to tilted kilt for a drink but he went home after dinner because he started his new job today, he sent me a text saying how pretty I looked and some other nice things so that was really special. Although I feel like he kind of dropped the ball on our first birthday as husband and wife, he does such a great job year-round showing and telling me how much he loves me and being really sweet. I guess I'll take year-round lovin' over a day of spoiling when it really comes down to it
