Tatoos

Do you have any?

How many?

What are they?

If none, why not?

Re: Tatoos

  • I don't.

I had thought about for a long, long time.

Then i couldn't decide what i wanted. Then i designed a Gemini symbol and that is as far as it went.

I'm super happy i didn't get it now, i realized that tats are just NMS. However, i love them on everyone else! LOL I think there are some fabulous designs out there!

  • No tattoos.

Never really thought about getting one.

My dad got one as a Marine and then got it removed and to me, I'd rather spend the money on clothing to dress myself up. :)

  • Do you have any? yes

    How many? 6

What are they? left thigh (chinese symbol), right shoulder (butterflies), lower back (tribal with pink and red leopard print), right hip (JA - Jerry has it too on his arm), left calf/foot (butterflies to cover scar), right wrist (cat paws)

    If none, why not?

  • I don't have any, but I have definitely thought about it in the past. Back in college, almost all of my good friends were getting them. I couldn't decide what I wanted, and the best I could come up with were my sorority letters. Needless to say, I am SOOOO grateful I did not tatoo those on me! I have thought of doing something with DH, but he would never get a tatoo.

  • No for several reasons. One-I hate needles. Two- I hate that sound. Three- I can't think of anything important enough I want on my body forever. I think it's funny when people have a huge Winnie the Pooh in their calf.Really, you like Pooh that much that even when you are 65 you will still like it? Sorry to anyone who has Pooh on their leg.

No Winnie the Pooh here but my older sister has Tweety bird on her ankle.  Really?  Tweety bird?  That will look great when you are 65.  (no offense to anyone with Tweety on their body somewhere.

I have two actually.  One on my lower back and the other on my right shoulder on my back.  Both are religious symbols that are personal to me and my faith.  I like them a lot but I'm pretty sure I'm done.  I got them about 10 years ago and haven't had the urge to really do anymore.

  • Funny I know a girl with a Winnie the Pooh AND Eeyore on opposite calves and I went, what were you thinking?

I think tattoo's can go either way.  Some people have them to remember someone they lost or their religion or their children.  Some people just have them and I don't feel they put a ton of thought into the future - like what is the point of a Winnie the Pooh tattoo?

I have 1 and it's all I ever wanted and all I'll ever get.  I designed it myself and placed it where you can only see it if I want you to see it. So many people said I'd get the tattoo bug and want more but I don't.  I'm happy with what I have.

  • Do you have any?  Yes

    How many?  One

What are they?  Half dollar size pink Hibiscus flower on my right foot, so I will always have a piece/reminder of Hawaii with me.

I have always wanted a tatt, but never could decide on one until a year ago.  I have no plans or the urge to get another one, I am happy with what I have.

  • I dont have any..

I wanted one for a while- a megaphone on my right hip but I'm glad now I didnt get it..I think I would look silly with it..

  • I have 3 tattoos.

One is a sun/moon on my back (tramp stamp, shudder).  I got it in college and still like it.

I have a flower on my left shoulder blade.  I got it when I was 18 and I plan on getting it covered up with a Poppy flower in honor of our loss in 2008.

I also have the outline of a star on my right foot.  My BFF and I went together to get them done.  Not very original but I love it.

I plan on getting more.  The poppy flower and something for Stella.  I'm thinking about getting her birthstone (aquamarine) jewel on my back.

  • Nope!  I am too indecisive!
  • Yes

    1

A celtic knot that looks kind of like an angel on my lower back.  I got it in college mostly just because I could.  Most of the time I forget I even have it. I don't regret it, but I wouldn't do it again.

  • I don't have any, mostly because I hate needles and I can't think of anything I would tattoo on myself that I wouldn't feel silly about when I'm 70.  I think it's hilarious that in about 40 years there will be a whole generation of wrinkly, pruny tramp stamps and barbed-wire or celtic knot arm bands.  (No offense to anyone who has either, I just imagine it will be amusing.)

  • Do you have any? Yes!

    How many? 2

What are they? One on my left foots, which says "Alis Volat Propiis" (Which means "She flies with her own wings in Latin"), and a rather large Eiffel Tower on my left side, as thats where my DH proposed!

It took me a long time to get tattooed... I didnt get the one on my foot until I was 26, and then the one on my side 6 months later... I love them now, and they are kind of addicting... id like another, but I dont have anything meaningful enough to tattoo... maybe when I have kids Ill get another one for them...

  • I don't have any tattoos, but someday I would like to get one.  I want it on my ribs/side area I think.  Waiting until I decide for sure what I want.

I looove the look of full sleeve tattoos (as long as the artwork is good) but I think that's a bit much for me!  I blame LA Ink for my tattoo fascination.  I love that show.
