Ok, so we've known for a while that we were having DH's parents over for dinner this Friday to celebrate his birthday.
Well it's grown and grown to where now (as of last night) we're having 11 people over (in addition to the two of us). ELEVEN. [The crazy part is, that's only DH's immediate family and his Gma and Gpa!].
In any case, I'm kind of freaking out. Mainly because we have one little patio table with 4 chairs and uh, that's IT. We don't have a kitchen table, our "dining room table" only has 2 chairs, and our house is freaking TINY. I have NO idea where all of these people are supposed to go!?? And god forbid if it rains (like the forecast says it might!)
I also have to complete all of the house cleaning tonight because I'm volunteering tomorrow night and they're due over at 5:45 on Friday. And because it's his family, I'm going to be scrubbing every nook and cranny to make sure it's spotless, lest we be labeled the dirty ones, haha. I'm hoping (for his own good) that DH is EXTRA helpful tonight, or I might kill him.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Re: Minor freak-out
Oh, we do have a couple camping chairs, that might work. I'll let DH's parents and grandparents sit at the table for sure, and maybe we'll just make eveyone else fend for themselves, lol.
Or maybe I'll make it a BYOS party.... bring your own seat!! lol!!!!
Could you ask DH's parents to bring some chairs?? I'm sure they have some. When we had fathers day we had 6 extra people at the last minute (2 hours before the party) and my parents brought some chairs and so did my aunt
Not that you want to go buy chairs, but I think a lot of places have discounted their summer furniture if you have time to run to a Kmart, Target or Lowes.
Yep, we have asked people to bring chairs before, too.
Will you be out and about in Toledo at all? I have two folding chairs that you can borrow. I could meet you somewhere.
You ladies have made me feel much better already!
I have done this before....ask if anyone has a couple spare chairs to bring...that way you dont have to scramble.
Thanks for the offer!! (And thanks Sara, too!!). You ladies are too sweet!!! Let me see what the ILs can come up with, and I'll let you know.
