Green drain unclogging solutions?

Any tips?  We physically cleaned out the P-trap, but we still need some sort of solution I think.

  • I've had good luck with baking soda/vinegar followed by boiling water.  This workes well on soap scum buildup but will do little to remove debris like hair clogs.
    nothing

This - remove hair by hand then use the above method. The boiling water is key, so just make sure you don't have kids running crazy as you cart it off to pour down the drain. Oh, and watch your face when you pour!

  • Zip-it works well.

(although it's disposable I've re-used mine a bunch of times)

ohh, thanks for this!  we tried the baking soda/vinegar thing but couldn't get the baking soda down the drain due to a trap.  i'll keep this in mind for next time!

We bought a small drain snake because my hair sheds a lot.  We do the vinegar/baking soda/water thing about once a week in our bathtub and it runs pretty good!
