Has to be the coworkers (or is it the money?). The legal dept is near a few sales and sales support people. One woman, near me: has told me multiple times how much she hates all lawyers; just told either a client or coworker over the phone that she's sorry if she sounds grumpy, but that she's been going through a lot lately; and told another co-worker who was innocently asking if she wanted to go get a soda that she was completely fed up and the only thing keeping her going is a ton of Xanax. Oh. Dear. File that under things we don't aware with our co-workers.
Re: Best thing about working
and told another co-worker who was innocently asking if she wanted to go get a soda that she was completely fed up and the only thing keeping her going is a ton of Xanax.
hahahahaha I love when this happens. "so.....you don't want a soda? or....yes?"
My coworker's granddaughter just joined the Army. She said she hopes the food is good because her granddaughter is picky.
I laughed in her face, I couldn't help it.
I bet her FUPA's name is Shane, like the gunslinger/drifter of literature.--HappyTummy
My office was in a school, so I was at a farewell BBQ for some teachers last week. I was cutting and serving the cake I made (Which reminds me, I tried making a rainbow cake! I have some crappy cell phone pics), and one woman I had never met engaged me in a conversation about how horrible her ex husband was being and that he's brainwashing their children into loving him more by never yelling at them, and his new girlfriend is a massage therapist and "you know what THAT means".
Meanwhile, people were lined up behind her looking at me like "So.. are we gonna get some cake or what?"
i may have told this story:
My coworker was going through some tough financial times so she gave her dog to her sister. (she didn't work here at the time, i have a feeling "financial troubles" is code for "went BSC")
The sister had the dog chipped and owned it for over a year when co-worker started demanding to have her dog back. sister refuses, rightly so. This dog is happy, healthy and has two kids to play with.
Now, if anyone mentions anything about dogs she goes into a rant about how we shouldn't talk about dogs when she's around.
YOU GAVE YOUR DOG AWAY, NUTTERBUTTER. STFU
I shared earlier but if we're talking about crazy co workers I might as well chime in.
DH and I have been discussing ttc (as you know from the last post and think im crazy for continuing
but anyway. DH was at work yesterday and was talking to a friend about our plans. Another co-worker butted in and told him how irresponsible we were being by wanting to bring a child into this world when DH has health problems *Backstory DH was diagnosed with cancer 5 years ago and is now completely cancer free* She kept going on and on about how irresponsible it was to even consider it.
People are freaking crazy. Just because I work with you, doesn't give you any right to jump in my business.
