Girl's trip in Nashville; need help!

My friend and I are taking a long weekend and coming to Nashville. I know we are going to check out the Mall at Green Hills and the Prime Outlet but what else is fun to do? My friend is almost 6 months pregnant. I'd like to visit some local hot spots but we won't be out too late. I also need something fun to do Monday am/afternoon before we head out. Suggestions?

  • I've always enjoy Belle Meade PLantation and cheekwood. If it is not a 1,000 degrees and she feels like walking the zoo is fun.

If you are into country music I have enjoyed the country music hall of fame

  • I think you will be disappointed by Prime Outlets. I would look carefully at the store selection before you make the trip. I second Cheekwood and the zoo!

  • Green Hills is nice, but a higher end shopping mall. Think Tiffany and boutiquey stores. So, because I'm cheap, it's more for window shopping than actual shopping :)

The zoo is nice but overpriced, IMO. The botanical gardens are good, and they have a cool glass exhibit going on right now. I'd also suggest heading downtown to see the Ryman, the Sommet Center, Country Music Hall of Fame, and the Grand Ole Opry. It costs to get in, but downtown Nashville (once you find a parking space-if she can walk, there's free parking by the river on weekends) is awesome. Great night life, great bars, good music (occassionally)!

     Have fun!!
