No, seriously, is it?  With the heat hitting record highs and Con Ed doing a bang-up job as usual, is anyone experiencing electricity outages?  Brown outs? Anyone on voltage reduction? I know that neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Queens are affected.

No brown-outs here, but Con Ed does intervene on my parents central air and takes it upon themselves to raise the temp. =/ Thanks Con Ed!

I got 3 automated voicemails from coned saying our area may experience problems. We might be on brown out here. The ac seems less cool maybe. I just hope the ac works at work tomorrow.

I haven't heard anything specifically...but our living room AC didn't want to work for a while yesterday, but i think that's cuz it's OLD!

I haven't gotten any of these but if you are going to brown out, so am I!  I hope not - so far, so good!

I haven't had any trouble at home yet. We had an announcement at work to conserve energy. They dimmed the lights in the main lobby and all the elevator lobbies.
