Where do you buy work out clothes?

Since I'm trying to get my butt in the gym these days, I really need some work out clothes.  All of mine are, um, WAY too small for me now :-(
I never have time to try them on since Caleb is with me so the other day I grabbed a ton of pants & tops at Wal-Mart thinking that surely something would work.  Got home, tried them on, and blech!  They were awful!  I have to return everything.  I'm thinking Target's work out clothes may be better, but is there anywhere else to look (without spending a fortune)?

Re: Where do you buy work out clothes?

  • I like Target!

Also, VS has GREAT yoga pants, and they're almost always on special. They're very stretchy and forgiving and they come in lengths so they're not (in my case) too short.

  • I second Target.

I've got some shorts and stuff online at finishline.com.

  • I just bought some at Target.  They were all very reasonable and I scored 3 tops for I think $12 each.  I have been very happy with them so far.
    Siggy coming soon....
  • Great, thanks!  I'll look at Target then!

Annie...did you have to order the VS yoga pants online?  I don't think the VS here sells anything but lingere and cosmetics.

  • I would agree with target, but i think it depends on what you like to work out in. Around this time of year a lot of the big sports shops have huge sales that you can find some great deals at. I think I saw 75% off a lot of stuff at Hibbet's yesterday.?

Yeah, I ordered online... but the ones here in town usually sell workout stuff too... Or atleast they used to! I don't know if they still do or not.

  • I agree with Target.  I've always been happy with their work out stuff.

Also, check out Old Navy.  I bought a pair of running shorts there recently that I love!  And of course, they always have great prices.

  • I guess I don't really have to say it, but I vote Target too!

And Celeste, I would have forgotten about Old Navy... but I've gotten some stuff there too.

  • I'm jealous that you're back to the gym!  But good for you!!!  I also say Target or Academy Sports!
  • Oh, and also you can try Express.  Theirs are very good quality.  I bought some shorts from there 5 years ago and they are still holding up very well.
    Siggy coming soon....
  • You might wanna try TJ Maxx or Marshalls. I found a pair of Adidas shorts at TJM for $6 that I love.

  • Thanks everyone!    I have lots of places to go look now!
  • I just bought a ton of stuff on sale at Academy!  They are marking down most of their summer stuff....so you should be able to find some good deals.  I also love Target's selection.  I can usually find something there in a pinch!

It is funny that you talked about WM....because I actually bought 2 pair of workout capri pants...and they are great.
