Hi Ladies,
I just recently purchased several citrus trees, and am having trouble with my orange tree. All are from dwarf rootstocks, as I am in the Pacific Northwest, and they have to be grown in pots so they can be inside during the winter.
My orange tree has tiny fruits on it, and looked great when I picked it up at the nursery on Monday. Our weather has been unseasonably cool, between 55 and 70-up until yesterday, we were 90, 96 today, and 99 tomorrow(which is unseasonably hot for us). The directions I received regarding caring for my plants were to make sure I did not water if the soil was moist. When I potted them yesterday morning, I gave them one thorough soak.
My other two citrus trees look great, and all have the same soil, but some of the leaves on the orange tree have sections that are brown and yellow, and it does not look as healthy. I checked the soil and it is still moist.
So, until I can call the nursery tomorrow-what should I do?
Thanks in advance!
Re: Orange Tree in Trouble
Ehh... sorry. I'm no help! Citrus trees are tough. I brought a tiny orange tree sapling back from Florida 3 or 4 years ago, and it's only about 2 feet high now but I'm sooo super careful to keep it healthy. Citrus trees are just so picky!
