What is your first birthday party memory? (the first that you can remember, not necessarily your 1st birthday )

I don't know if anyone would remember their 1st birthday...if they do, that's a pretty freak'n good memory! hehe

The 1st birthday I remember is my 4th. We had a strawberry shortcake themed pool party in my yard (the advantages of being born in the summer). The only event I remember from that party is sitting at the picnic table and blowing out the candles on my cake.

The first party I really remember having was my 12th birthday party.  I had gone down to AC the night before to see Paula Abdul in concert, then came home the next day for my 12th bday party. Everybody met up at my house then we went to Rollermagic skating rink in NJ. It was a great time.

Other than than I remember that EVERY year they'd get me an ice cream cake, and I HATE ice cream cake. This continued even after we figured out I was lactose intolerant. Apparently when your bday is in the end of July, there is no other option.

I don't remember how old I was, but there was a rabbit......(I had a magician).

I don't remember the details of it, but my mom made this delicious apple cake.  Friends came over.  There are lots of photos of us making funny faces.  That apple cake was realllly good. I think it was a NYTimes recipe.  And I think I have it somewhere.

I remember my 10th birthday party because it was kinda huge with all my friends. I remember feeling pretty special. Come to think of it, I don't think that I had another party before that.

Not really any particular birthday, but I remember getting Pepsi and other "fancy" things like that for our birthdays. I also remember having to "share" my birthday with my sister (hers is 3 weeks before mine at the end of may, so we ended up doing them together earlier, before everyone left for the summer), it was fairly annoying.

Just remember having cake at my Nana and Pop-Pop's with all of my aunts there and feeling special!

Love all these memories!

Mine was i think for my 4th bday... We were stationed in Butzbach, Germany and we had a party in the common-type room in the attic of the Army housing. It was a Disco Mickey Mouse theme (we had a record of the same name and apparently i was gaga for it) and my mom made these gold bows that the girls could wear in their hair or the boys could wear as bowties. We jammed out to the Disco Mickey record and i went to sit down in a folding chair but i sat too far back (and i guess i was too small) and the chair folded up on me! So that resulted in a mini meltdown.

Then it was time for cake and as soon as they set it in front of me and began to sing, i blew the candles out before it was time! Everyone laughed but i got extremely embarassed and slid out of my chair and sat under the table. I guess that makes mini meltdown #2.

We would spend the weekend camping. I got to invite 3 friends and hang out telling stories and talking about boys in the tent at night.

Oh Fun! I remember my 2nd or 3rd birthday party- I had blue smurf cake and there are pictures with blue icing ALL over me. ;-)

Ha! Us too. We were only allowed to have soda and potato chips at birthday parties. I remember my Mom would always finish the bag of potato chips, she was secretly feeling deprived as well. ;-)

I just remembered another birthday memory: Miss Piggy themed party. 

I wish I could re-create that party sometime in the near future.

i don't remember any in particular. Just a vanilla sheet cake with chocolate frosting and sprinkles. One year I had a christmas tree ornament making party (my bday is early december). and parties at the roller skating rink - that was a big year!
