Teaching Certificate Program..
Does anyone have any advice or recommendations on area schools that offer programs for teaching certificates? I've had my B.A. for about 7 yrs now and am contemplating a change of career. (the thought of that scares the heck out of me)
Just wondering if any of you ladies are teachers, are in a program like that, or know someone who has done that. Any rants or raves would be appreciated.
I'm looking around the Milwaukee/Kenosha area.

Re: Teaching Certificate Program..
Luv - I'll have to look at that. I haven't even mentioned that this is in my head to DH yet. Think I'll try to talk myself out of it on my own. Just that everytime I start thinking about what to be when I grow up, this pops into my head.
Concordia and Marquette both have teaching cert programs for people that have bachelor degrees. They even allow you to work on cert and get masters at same time. Both great programs.?
But I'm confused. Are you looking for Teaching Cert or Medical Asst? ?
wait, nevermind. I was looking at wrong post. Duh.
?
So yeah, look into Concordia and Marquette. ?
I went to Concordia and thought it was a great program. I went to class 1 night/week for 18 months and then did 1 semester of student teaching. Their website is www.cuw.edu. Look under Graduate Teaching Certificate. The program also puts you within 9 credits of a masters.
