mine is an automatic

when i first learned how to drive and then totaled my first car I asked my dad for a manual and he said... and i quote... "you can barely handle two pedals, what makes you think you can handle three?"

so needless to say i never learned how to drive manual =(

We've had both and I like them both. Currently, we both have automatics. I don't like driving standards in stop and go traffic..

Also, I wouldn't buy a "sportier" car in anything but a standard..

automatic, but wouldn't mind going back to manual - it's fun and I wasn't able to do other stuff while driving as much so it made me a safer driver.

I drive an automatic but can drive a standard.  I have no desire to drive a standard in stop and go traffic though so I doubt I'll ever go back!

We have automatics now, but my last car was a standard and it was lots of fun to drive (except in traffic) I also think I pay more attention when driving the standard.

automatic... i don't know how to drive a manual =( two people tried to teach me but I stress out too much! It's a problem bc my hubby's car is a manual...hmm...

My car is automatic but Phillip's is manual so it depends on which car we are taking out.

I drive an auto - but was taught to drive on a standard. My Dad's version of drivers ed was driving a stick shift in reverse up a mountain road and back down...I did that and I passed in his books. . DH has a standard and I refuse to drive it now. Its a saturn and his clutch SUCKS
