I'm sort of here and sort of working, but just about to go to lunch.
Darby, I feel like we know nothing about you. Share!

I survived the RoLex wedding and all I got was this lousy husband.
One&Only Palmilla - Los Cabos, Mexico
It's my birthday, so I'm trying to avoid real work.
And I'm in BFF's wedding this weekend, so I'm making final plans for her wedding weekend--including secretly decorating her wedding night hotel.
Happy Birthday!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Happy Birthday, Steph!
Thanks girls. I guess I threadjacked.
I made this cake for my birthday cake, and while I haven't tasted the whole thing yet, the tastes I stole yesterday while frosting it were divine.

Happy Birthday Steph!!!
Choo- can you tell us more about the job offer?
I'm here, but I mostly hang out on MM. The market has finally been up yesterday & today so I have been busier at work as well.
I don't really want to jinx it. It is a reasonably successful fashion start-up based in LA that is looking for an east coast rep. One of my friends recommended me and I fly out in August for an interview.

This all sounds so glamourous. Of course, I think anyone who lives in New York is glamourous.
Trust me, the job is much less glamourous than it sounds. If I get it, you'll hear allllllll about it.
Now the living in NYC thing, that is a statement I can get behind...

Happy Birthday Steph!
Good luck with the interview Choo!
I've been busy with work and school lately...I have no life anymore. Looking forward to golf league tonight!
Happy Birthday, Steph! Shame on you for making your own cake. You could have asked me to do it!
I'd gladly try out another one of Hawki's recipes!
Obviously, I was at my interview....which I think went well. I'm still just one of a number of candidates they're interviewing but it felt good to have a good interview and get my face and name out there. I should hear back in 3-4 weeks. Let the waiting begin!!!

Happy Birthday, Steph! I'm with you on the NYC glamour thing!
Mamie - I guess I haven't really shared much, have I? Well, other than my love of all things decorating. Hmmm, let's see.....DH & I have been together for a little over seven years & have lived together for six. We live just outside Seattle. We don't want kids (DH went to see Dr. Snip about two months ago, so no more worries there, phew!). Don't get me wrong, I love kids and coached gymnastics for years, but I just love other people's kids! I'm pretty sure I'm older than all of you, but don't really feel anywhere near my age. I have an incredibly boring job. I have one kitty (Sonja) that is really weird & just as sweet. I love to cook & bake, which will be so much easier once we finish re-doing our kitchen (I'll post pics once we grout this weekend). And for a random fact, my last five cars have been convertibles and I couldn't imagine a future having to drive a hard-top. What else would you like to know? Holy run-on paragraph....sorry!
DH is a great assistant in the kitchen, but I'll take a Hawki special next year!
Bummer that they're interviewing so many people, but at least you're going for it. Lots of job dust coming your way.
darby - thanks for sharing! How do you like the Pacific Northwest? I'd love to see the kitchen re-do when it's done. I've always want to drive around in a convertible, but I'd fear my hair.
Hmm... you alluded to a more advanced age than us. Will you share what it is?
Any wedding pics? How long have you been a J9 lurker?
