Hi! Thanks for responding to my post below! I've been trying to educate myself on home brewing methods, but I haven't been able to find much info online. At least geared to a novice like myself!
I was looking at the basic start kit that you recommended. Is it similar to a Mr Beer or Coopers in that it is single-stage fermentation? Is the main difference that it allows for upgrades down the line?
You mentioned that you've moved past the basic kit. What are you using now and what prompted you to upgrade? Do you happen to know how much beer you are able to brew from one beer kit?
If I purchase the basic start kit, is there anything else I should get besides a brew kettle, beer bottles, and an ingredients kit?
