You were so right about the carpal tunnel. I originally thought the pain was coming from my shoulder and shooting down my arm but now I wake up each morning with what feels like broken wrists just like you described. LOL.
Did that last your the whole rest of your pregnancy? I think I need to look into getting those splints.
Re: ***Nicole***
I never got the splints, but I wish I would have! I just ran my wrists under warm water when I first woke up and that seemed to ease the pain. I usually felt better once I took a shower.
Mine got better shortly after I had Allison, but it still pops up every now and then and it's not nearly as painful. At first, I had to make sure I was extra careful when taking care of Allison in the morning, because that's when it was the most painful. Once your body stops retaining water it should start to get better. The only reason why it's being aggravated is because the swelling is pushing on certain nerves. As miraculous as it is, pregnancy is beautiful isn't it?
It really has subsided for the most part though. I'm going to give it another few weeks and if it continues to pop up, I think I just might go see a doctor about it anyway.
It's strange, even with all the work I had to do and all the pain I endured throughout my pregnancy - I really think I would do it all over again(if my doctors 'let' me). That's the light at the end of the tunnel.
