I know there have been a lot of China posts today (mostly from me!
) but after reading the post about how many of us Nesties have China, I was curious to see the different patterns. This is mine (Mikasa Parchment). What's yours?
Re: Post your China pattern
This one and I loooooooooove it.
I'm having PIP issues. I mix my grandmother's china with Wedgwood Illusion by Vera Wang, which I will post below.
Sorry so big.
My china pattern (long discontinued), is Noritake Asian Song. I originally wanted something very plain/simple, but at the last minute thought about my sister only receiving a few pieces of hers (we had chosen the same china pattern), and decided to go for something a bit less expensive and 'different'. And we got most of it for our wedding and the rest for christmas from my parents.
It isn't necessarily my style or colors...what I would choose now, but do I love it and enjoy using it..... it somehow still works. DH loves it, but he likes girlier things than I do.lol
I have Mikasa Parchment too!
ETA: I can't believe how many of us have the same pattern. Simple and classic (imo) is probably the reason.
Just put all my dishes away in the china cabinet last weekend...

This is mine. It is old fashioned, but I actually really like it.

Lenox Opal Innocence
This is the one I almost went for but our store didn't carry all of the pieces.
Vera Wang / Wedgewood's Grosgrain
Lenox Continental Platinum
Nice and plain because we use it everyday.
Baby #2: Surprise BFP 9.19.12, EDD 5.24.13, natural m/c 10.19.13 at 9w
This is the one we have. We went with the Vera Wang duchesse crystal though.
I have the VW duchesse crystal too!
ericanandy-I thought I was so original when I picked it out, then I came to the knot and every other bride had it.
I love what I have, but if I could pick another it would be Waterford's Ballet Ribbon, partially because of the name:
I almost picked this one, but I went with Mikasa Parchment instead.
This is our pattern. DH actually picked it out and I love it.
This is what I registered for. I got a few pieces and didn't want to buy the rest. It worked out well because I inherited my maternal grandmother's.
Can't really tell in the pic but it has some white designs on the rim.
We didnt register for the crystal
Bernardaud's "Dune" (it looks sort of gold in the second picture, but it's platinum color). We almost went with Vera Wang/Wedgewood's "Grosgrain"
Our crystal is Faberge's "Raina"
Mine is Fukagawa Arita, No, 928 (Silver Wheat) from the 1960s (I think):
It's a coupe-shaped pattern.

Cool post.
Wedgwood Blue Fin - and thanks for posting this - just found out Macy's isn't carrying my pattern anymore - just BB&B.
I love china. When we registered at BB&B, the consultant acted surprised that we were interested in it and said most couples today don't want it. I really wanted the Mikasa Parchment pattern (which is apparently very popular here!) but DH wanted something with just a thin silver band around the rim. We compromised on Mikasa's Crown Jewel Platinum:
You can't really tell from this picture, but there is a subtle swirl pattern on the silver band. Very elegant and (hopefully) classic!
Registered & have this--Waterford Carina Platinum but we don't have/want the decorative/fancy plate (I forgot the proper name for that)
Got a big set of this from a bachelor family friend for our wedding:
Tiffany & Co-- Frank Lloyd Wright Imperial China
And I have my grandmothers set but I forget the name & it's packed so I can't look (we are moving).
This is the one we have although I am still collecting more pieces so we have yet to use it!
