Need New Church and Fast!

Hi y'all!  So I thought I had posted a previous question as to what churches to try in the Cary/Raleigh area, but I can't find the posts or notes!  Maybe I just read someone else's post!

Can anyone recommend a great church in the Cary area for tomorrow morning?  Hubs and I will be trying a few different ones throughout the next few months (new to the area) and I don't know where to go tomorrow.  We both love traditional churches (Presbyterian, Methodist or Baptist) but have recently been going to Elevation in Charlotte (a very contemporary/non-denominational organization).

We want to find a church with other newlyweds.  We need to make some friends in the area!!

Thanks!!!!!

  • We go to Hope Community Church..it's on Buck Jones Rd.  It's very contemporary, but we love it.  I wouldn't trade it for anything.  It's a non-denominational church.  For July we have a guest speaker Tim Downs...he's an author and he gave a great speech today with a lot of good humor.

  • This isnt a church in the Cary / Raleigh area, but the one I go to in Fuquay is pretty good. Its : Fuquay Varina Baptist Church. It has both traditional services and contemperary services.

Theres also a new class, which DH and I are in called "Nearly Newly Weds".  There is one engaged couple (getting married at the end of this month) as well as couples that have been married for a couple of years.

Essentially we're all going through very similar things and are in similar life stages. We love it and feel it's great to be able to connect with others in the church that are more on our level with our life at the time being.

With that said, I'm sure there are more churches out there that are starting up groups like this. It's just a matter of finding one you like :o)

    Good luck!

  • Did you have any luck? We are new to the Cary area too and I was actually just going to post this same question!
  • This morning my fiance and I attended Mosaic for the first time. They are currently in the process of renovating their actual structure so service was held at a local hotel. The worship service was great and we will definitely be going back. Next service is August 22nd.

  • We're now attending Macedonia United Methodist Church on Tryon Rd. and Walnut St.  We like the pastor a lot and everyone is so friendly, warm, accepting and focused.  There are a few couples our age and they're about to begin a Sunday school class that will meet one evening each week!  I'm thinking about having the talk with DH about becoming members!
