Vacation Dilema HELP!!!
Hi Everyone
Be Prepared this might be lengthy.
Ok so T and i have been planning on going to Las Vegas for her family reuninon October 4th-11th. Everyone is pitching in to rent this huge really nice house with a pool which will run us $500 for the whole week. We are going to drive there with T's cousin and her partner and I already purchased Panic! At The Disco, Dashboard Confessional, Plain White T's tickets which cost me about $250. T recently was diagnosed with MS and shes scared of running out of time to do thing so we've been really excited for her to get to spend some time with her family, espeically those that she hasnt seen in years. So all was well and good and we were stoked for this vacation.
Well today i get back from lunch and i have an email waiting for me from Olivia cruises. I won the September sweeps and a cruise for the two of us to the Mexican Riviera Oct 4th -11th!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH. If i don't use the trip no one does and i can't put it towards a different Olivia vacation. The said that the free cruise would normally run $4000. So i sat down and crunched some numbers and with our airfare to get to San Diego and get a rush on passports and travel insurance (since shes been sick this is necessary)port fees and spending money they trip would only end up costing us around $2000. SUCH A GOOD DEAL, SO HARD TO EVEN THINK ABOUT PASSING UP. And yes i called Olivia to make sure this was all legit and it is.
Normally i would blow off anything for the cruise and so would T, but i know seeing her family is important to her. Don't know what to do, anybody have any imput?

We both can see a lot of pros and cons of going or not going. Its kinda up in the air, winning a free Olivia trip is kinda a once in a lifetime thing, but this is her whole family and they never get together like this and she really wants me to meet them. We are going to talk about it at lunch today because we have to decide by tomorrow. I think she is edging more towards Vegas though.
Update
T ran it by her family and they gave her a bit of a guilt trip looks like were going to Vegas. Its probably a better decision with T's health right now and the amount of money we would have to come up with. Oh well. But hey atleast now we all know that real people actually win those cruises.
