I get to go pick up my new ring from Shane Co. today at 4pm!
My original engagement ring/wedding band are family heirlooms from my great-grandmother from the 1920s or so. They are hand cut diamonds in platinum! Very thin, delicate and fragile. I just don't feel comfortable wearing them to work (I'm a nurse), swimming or things like that. And I hate not having anything to wear!
We used them because DH didn't have the cash at the time to fund a decent one, and we just wanted to get married! He has since gotten a few promotions and substantial raises!
So, I got a .74 carat cushion cut diamond set in white gold with 3 round diamonds on each side! And can I just say how much I LOVE Shane Co!

Our rings are from Shane Co also. I do really like them but I have to say that their customer service has gone a little downhill lately. It used to take 1-2 hrs for rhodium dip and now it takes 3 days! 3 days!!! Who likes to go without their wedding rings for 3 days?! LOL ok so its not that big of a deal especially since its free, but still.
