Flying out of O'Hare

So I'm flying out of O'Hare next month to go to NJ which is cool and all, but I have never flown alone and never out of a big airport alone. the last time I flew was 6 years ago so a few things have changed. The main thing I'm worried about is the check-in process. Where do you go. Is it similar to check in at Ford Intl.? What about parking? Should I have DH come in with me and pay for parking or should we do the Kiss n fly drop off? I'm frying United so from what I can tell I'll be flying out of conc. 1. Any tips or suggestions would be great. TIA

Re: Flying out of O'Hare

  • Kiss 'n' fly--you'll be fine! Airports are airports. GRR is just a bit (ok, a lot) smaller than other ones, but the process is the same. Find a kiosk or agent, have your ID ready, and follow the crowd and signs. Ask an employee if you have trouble. Expect to be delayed; United/O'Hare is notorious for that. Bring a good book. :)
