To be fair, it has nothing at all to do with my job!
We had to take my car to the shop over the weekend because my brakes were making some awful creaking sounds. I thought it was a bent dust shield (which has happened a couple of times before with this car), but it turned out to be front rotors and having to cut the rear drums back to round. This brought our car repair total for June-July to nearly $2000. I'm counting down the days til HH's next paycheck.
HH had to take a kid to a court hearing today to probably be discharged from their program. He set his alarm for 6, and I didn't need to get up until 8. Well, apparently he turned his alarm off instead of hitting the snooze button, so he woke up two hours late, when I did, and freaked out and had to throw on a suit and tear off to work in a panic.
Halfway to work, my rear brakes started making a very loud knocking sound. I AM GOING TO KILL SOMEONE if they try to tell me that I have to pay for the next repair. I spent $300 on brakes yesterday. I should not have a new and exciting brake sound 20 hours later.
Re: Monday blues
uggghhhh... I hate cars. As soon as you fix one problem, you always find a new one. I wish I had the money to just go out and buy a new car everytime something goes wrong with one.
Seriously!! I am not the type of person who needs to have a fancy, shiny car, but right now, I'm having fantasies that involve a 2010 Ford Focus.
ha... I've had 4 cars since I was 16. My last car was my absolute FAVORITE... It was my "Beast"... my 20 year old car that ran better than any new car out there today. The only reason I can't drive it anymore is because Adam was trying to look out for Bambi and not hit him while driving down the road and hit the ditch instead. So now< i have my 05 Escape and I'm trying so hard to take good care of it. I've had it for just over a month now and I just figured out how to use the windshield wipers on friday!!
You're not the only one! My first car has been my ONLY car. You want to hear about a decrepit piece of metal? It's a 1990 Chevy Corsica, and it's on its way out. We're hoping to save just a little more money before it dies so we can afford something nice. We need a bigger vehicle. We have a great dane and 2 small cars. It's not too comfortable.
