What a first week of the Tour! I haven't been on the boards lately, because we're working crazy hours. DH & I have been watching the Tour on tape when we can. I can't believe how many crashes they've had in the first week!!! Especially Lance. My heart breaks for him! I really wanted to see him on the podium for his last Tour! We'll be cheering for Levi and Andy Schleck now. I'd be ok with Contador winning and, as always, am cheering against Cadel Evans (just sitting on Contador's wheel as always, never taking any chances). I hate that he's in yellow. . .for now. I'm really becoming a big fan of Fabian Cancellara. I loved how he got everyone to protest and slow down at for the finish after the day the whole pelaton fell on the narrow downhill. I hope things are going well with you and that you're getting to watch the tour!!!
ps. DH is out riding right now. I've been doing p90x and miss the bike. I'll have to get back on soon!

Ooh, I've been watching too! Love it. I'm rooting for Andy Schlek, and K is rooting for Levi. I can't wait to see what the rest of the mountain stages hold for us!
So.. anyone want to get inspired and show a newbie to the area some good rides in the Triangle?
BB--I figured you guys were busy! We're definitely enjoying the tour this year--in fact, Dh and I had agreed earlier this year to downgrade our TV package to save money this year--but I made him upgrade it for the month of July so that we could get the wonderful Paul and Phil each morning (well, afternoon since we record it and watch it later). I follow in the am live on velonews...and today's stage was....WOW. Very exciting!!
I too was hoping that Lance would go out with a bang, but I'm hoping he still has a little up his sleeve...maybe one last stage win, but we shall see. I too can't help but like Andy Schleck--still don't like Cadel, am OK with Contador...and I too love Fabian Cancellara--and I'm excited that Levi is still in the hunt. And of course, Jens.....who doesn't love Jens Voigt?? If he doesn't already have a nickname, it should be "the Beast" because that guy just puts it all out there (as seen today)!!
OrangeFelt--I would love to go riding with you, but I'm in the Triad! I believe BB is down in the other large Metro area of the state--so we're all kind of spread out. Otherwise, I'd totally say let's get together!!
