Awkward!!!

I decided to treat myself and get a pedicure today and a man did it! It was super awkward for me and I wasn't able to relax for some reason...

He did do a really good job though!

 

Anyone else have the same feelings about this?

YES!!! it was this creepy looking middle eastern guy and I did not relax at all! lol i thought maybe he was one of those people with a foot fetish! lol i a hot mess!

I don't really mind having a guy do it, they do a good job usually.  EXCEPT one time in college my bff and I went to this place, and the guy was super creepy and kept singing to us and smiling at us weird as he did the pedicure.  We still laugh about that.

When I used to get pedis, I always got stuck with the male tech, so I just didn't let him do the massage part.

That never bothers me, i'd rather have a guy do it, esp at this place I go to because he always does a great job.

Never bothers me...never thought twice about it. I just love pedicures, so I sit ,relax and enjoy. Now massages on the other hand...always prefer a female. Do not want to be nakey under a sheet and have some random dude massaging me!!!

Liz, I agree with you. No prob for pedis, they always seem to have a lot of guys working at the place I go anyway (they're Thai). But massages, I've always had a woman. Dunno if I'd be too comfortable with a guy.

i don't care who or what gives me a pedi. anyone who wants to massage my feet is fine with me!!! i really hate it when their nails are longer and they scratch and tickle my feet, so annoying. massages i'm not a fan of at all, it's really weird to me. i've only had one and don't think i want another

I've never had a guy give me a pedicure BUT I did once have a guy give me a meassage. Now talk about awkward. It was not relaxing at all. He was a bigger guy too....I was creeped out!

So, now I make sure to request a girl every time.
