Anniversary with Obama
So we are celebrating our first wedding anniversary this weekend (yahoo!) We are very outdoorsy people so what better way to celebrate then go to Acadia National Park (camping, hiking, etc.) I figured it would be a relaxing and peaceful way to enjoy our anniversary. However, I just found out that the first family are planning on vacation in Acadia this weekend which will probably ensure crowds and extra vacationers.
While it think it would be awesome if our dogs could play with the first dog (bo), i really hope there isn't too much mayhem. MEHHH!
Re: Anniversary with Obama
We went to Acadia and Bar Harbor for our anniversary last year. Unfortunately, it rained pretty much the whole weekend!
If you're looking for a place to stay, the honeymoon suite of the Castlemaine Inn is very nice (we got upgraded for free!). The breakfast is very basic though.
I hope it's not too bad for you! Acadia is gorgeous... but dealing with the Secret Service and the throngs of people that come out for the President is not fun!

How exciting, it sounds like it will be a lot of fun. Hopefully there won't be too much of a frenzy while you're up there though.
