what does your DH do?

not for a job... but nice things for you/ home!?

 

 

Today I came home and DH had scrubbed the microwave! (He frequents the microwave more than I and it really needed the clean!) So I am baking him cookies= positive reinforcement!

What has your DH done?

He does most of the chores he feels are more "manly" and I shouldn't be doing like watering the lawn, taking out the garbage, washing the carpets, and such.  He also helps load and unload the dishwasher, switch the laundry, put dinner in the oven, and brings me water when I nurse our LO.  Oh, and we fight over who gets to vacuum with our Dyson.

We are a team and I don't have to do positive reinforcement because we BOTH should be helping out to keep our household going.  Lord knows I can't do it all. Of course we both have our lazy moments and I'm the one that usually does the dusting, floor washing, and bathroom cleaning but I certainly can't complain!

DH is actually wonderful around the house.. not with the cooking and cleaning up afterwards though haha. He takes care of all the yard work (mowing the lawn, picking up doggy poo, trimming the bushes, Christmas lights during the holidays, etc..) he also takes care of the garbage and recycling each week, does the laundry (I'm scared of our dark dingy basement) but I do all the folding and putting away of the clothes.. and he lets the dog out each morning and feeds her breakfast. But he has no clue how to help me cook or do the dishes.. he's admitted he doesn't even know how to make scrambled eggs or grilled cheese! But I don't mind cooking for him, I love to cook and bake, and he's usually taking care of other household stuff while I make dinner.

Laundry!!  His and towels/sheets.  I've been trying to get him to do more, but I guess I will take what he does.

Sometimes I think he does more than me! He takes out the garbage and makes dinner most nights- especially when I coach in the fall. I am so lucky to have him! We just got married so my goal this summer is to be more domestic but he can keep the things he does

DH does all of the yardwork, including a vegetable garden in our backyard.  His also building us a new deck right now with one of his friends.  He does all of the outside work, while I take care of the inside.

He is amazing around the house and outside, he definately cooks more than I do and cleaning and laundry is fifty fifty. I can't complain at all since he is amazing at contributing. He can also do handy man things so basically I am thankful to have such an amazing hubby.
