Pandigital Novel
Hi! I usually post on the NJ board but was wondering if anyone here could help me out with the Pandigital novel? I was going to get the Nook for my dad for his bday, and then saw this in the store today. The salesperson told me it does more then the Nook such as having internet access. Can anyone recommend one over the other? If it helps my dad LOVES technology and I obviously know nothing about it. Thanks so much.

I have a Kindle2 (that would be Amazon's competitor to the Nook).
I think the big difference is going to be the colored backlit screen vs having the e-ink without. The e-ink is not going to cause eyestrain, and headaches, even in bright light. This is a huge thing for me, but might not be that big of a deal for him.
Engadget had a review of the Pandigital recently.
At $179.99 $149, the all-plastic reader isn't going to win any build quality awards (it's also rather heavy for what it is), but the Android 2.1-powered gadget does have a pretty attractive user interface. In use, however, the resistive screen had to be pressed quite firmly to make selections and the software was noticeably sluggish.
