Need help with 3 year old b-day party

My daughter is going to turn 3 soon, and wants a Disney princess birthday party. As adorable as this is for little girls, half of her friends are boys! Do you have any suggestions for how to make a Disney princess party fun for boys too?

  • Princes or Knights. Give them swords, they'll be happy ;)

My neice's birthday was princess and pirates.  She had little pirate things for the boys and all the princess stuff for girls.  It was really cute.

    What an adorable idea!

  • My older daughters fifth birthday was at a ballet studio.  The boys had just as good a time...they dressed as knights and dragons, and got to race to see which group could awaken the most sleeping princesses.

She also had a Disney princess party (when she was two or three).  None of the boys there even really noticed except her oldest cousin, and he didn't care if the decorations were pink and DD was dressed as Cinderella.  There was good food and cake and nothing else mattered to him.  So honestly, if the boys are all about her age, you don't really have to do much of anything special for them as long as they aren't all wearing tiaras and putting on makeup!  Just have some boy themed goody bags (who cares if they don't match the theme...most parties my kids go to have goody bags that - at least for the gender opposite the birthday child - don't).
