Can I transplant a raspberry plant?
A friend gave me three plants last year, and I let them sit in the garage until they were almost dead. But DH stuck 'em in the ground towards the end of the summer, and now I have 5 flourishing plants. Crazy things.
However, because of how they travel (underground runner root things?) they are now escaping from the garden area. I figured I'd just move the two on the end to another location in the yard, but I don't know how to do that. Help? TIA!

Good to know, thanks!

Raspberry plants are ridiculously prolific, they grow like weeds. You can definitely transplant. I took some form my mother's garden and put them in mine, when it was timet o move, I dug up a couple, put them in pots and transplanted and they seem to be doing just fine. They are very hardy plants.
