City, suburbs, or the country?
I have always lived in the burbs. When we visit my family in the country I get hives thinking about living there. I don't think I could live in a big city either though - I'm too panicky (and I can't parallel park
). Guess I'll always be a suburbs girl.

The 'burbs. I prefer it. Downtown is WAY to expensive and the kids like having a yard. I also like having a driveway to wash my own car.
But the country also holds nothing for me. I had enough of that with my grandparents down south. ick.
It's almost here! Weeeeeeee!

City!!!
) I was a city girl in the 5th grade. lol After living in a real city (no, Hoosierville is not a real city), I know I couldn't live anywhere else.
I don't drive, so I don't have to park either. Considering there's only 1 parking space on the streets for every 5 cars, that's probably a good thing.

Suburbs. Always have!?
I do like some big cities and would be willing to give it a try for Chris- San Fran or Portland, maybe even Denver or Seattle. Would totally try it if that's what Chris wanted (for his work)?

Unfortunately the suburbs. But we JUST moved here. I lived in the city (DC) for the last 3 years... im sad but i am so much closer to work and shopping that im going to save craploads of money and have way more time too.
H grew up in the city (Detroit) so he needed to get the hell outta the city. I love DC, but considering I dont even get to enjoy it because all I do is work and commute, its better for us right now.
Eventually H wants to move to the country. Eh... I dont think that will happen. Maybe like half country... but there is no way I am driving more than 45 minutes to work, and DC area traffic is a biitch, so there is no way we are going country country. Small town or lots of land very near town, YES, but not have to drive over 5 miles to get to the nearest grocery store or whatever. Hell NO!
I have a feeling we will end up staying in the burbs though. Just because it will kind of be a compromise for the two of us. But it HAS to be like the cool burbs. Not the kind I grew up in (which was like all white catholics). Ick... and we have to make a trip to the city at least twice a month. I need me some culture, and I really want the kids to experience city stuff, since I never really got to even though we were like 10 minutes from the city.

YES! H is from a one EZ Mart town. The nearest Wal-Mart (where they had to do all their Christmas shopping cause it's the ONLY STORE) is over an hour from his mom's. Uh, no.

Whenever H talks about it, I have nightmares and wake up in a cold sweat.

I guess you could call it the suburbs, but it's a lot more rural than the 'burbs of big cities (dirt driveway, no town water, deer in the yard! But Target is 5 minutes away.). But that's Maine for you!
DH and I are buying a house in the next couple of months and haven't yet decided if we want to be in a neighborhood or something with more space. He grew up in the country so it's what he's used to, but we're leaning towards a more 'burb-like neighborhood so the future kids can ride their bikes and play with other kids.
Country side of the 'burbs. There are def. different degrees of suburbs down here. Where my parents built their house 22 years ago used to be alllll farm lands; they were the first neighboorhood built. Now it's all built up and crowded! But the high school is out in the more farm-land country part. It's definately the most country high school in the city.
