Speaking of books, reading...
I must, must recommend Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. I am so immersed in it right now and only have 25 pages left!
Re: Speaking of books, reading...
While we are on the book subject... the book you sent me (which i absolutely loved)...i can't remember the author, but I think you said she had other books. Do you remember? Talk about a vague post..LOL.
If anyone is looking for a couple of easy reads, like something you could read over a weekend or on the beach, I would suggest Sundays at Tiffany's and The Quickie, both by James Patterson.
My neighbor/friend Nicole found out that I read the entire Women's Murder Club by JP and decided that I love him & had to borrow those^ two books from her. I actually did enjoy them both.
They are super easy reads, so if you're into that then you'll probably like them, and if you don't... then you probably won't like them. lol. Sundays at Tiffany's is a really romantical and dreamy kind of book. The Quickie is more mystery-romance-suspense.
I've read everything by JP and The Quickie is my all time favorite.
The Quickie was really good, there were a couple of twists I didn't see coming - and not to toot my own horn, but I always see the twists coming. lol.
Natalie, I'll have to check out your recommendation. I'm in need of a good book these days.
Sarah, I did read Sunday's at Tiffanys and I was a little disappointed. I had heard JP was a great author and maybe it was because he was a co-author on this one. I dunno. Are his others similar to Sunday's? If not, I'd be more inclined to picking him up again.
Jennifer Weiner! Good in Bed and Certain Girls were her other two I really liked. I read Best Friends Forever a couple of months ago...it was pretty good too.
Natalee could probably answer this better then I can, since she's read all of his books. Realistically, I've only read a small fraction of his books, and to my knowledge Sundays at Tiffany's is pretty different from his other books. I don't think he writes many books that are just straight romance.
I LOVE James Patterson, and I have to say... he's a great writer, but the qaulity does take a little dive when he's a co-author.
Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm soooo requesitng all these books from the library.
I was hoping that was the case. And stupid of me to pick up one of his few romantic novels instead of what he's actually known for. I'll definitely be reading more of his.
I just read Sundays at Tiffanys on Saturday and LOVED it. I'm excited to check out his other books as well.
There are 9 now, I've read all of them & liked or loved each one!
