A little patriotism!!

Tonight we went to a remembrance ceremony for 9/11. It was hosted by my local IAFF union. Frank Brogan was the guest speaker. He was Lt Gov at the time of 9/11.

His story of the day was very touching. He was at the school over on the west coast with Bush. Wow...imagine being next to the President of the United States(even though it was Bush) when that went down.

His speech made me and my hormonal self cry. He spoke of how proud he is to be an American, and how proud he is of our country. He stated that when the terrorists tried to bring down our country they forgot about the lady standing in the bay holding her lamp. The lady that is protecting our country.

Anyway....He gave such a great, moving speech. On that note....I would like to give a shout out to the men and women over seas fighting for our freedom. God bless them!
