Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

Poll: Blocked

What websites are blcked for you at work?

Re: Poll: Blocked

  • The Bump and Facebook.  Those are the only websites I would go to that are blocked at work.
  • Social networkings, blogs, discussion boards. Basically what isn't are news sites/articles. This is recent, which I have no problem with, now my CWs can get off the time wasters and do their dang work!
  • AOL.  Everything else that I like to check works, but recently I start getting problems with checking AOL email.  I can log in, but then it says there were technical difficulties retrieving my email.  Blah.
  • We don't have a computer in my room at work!
  • Facebook and mail. And most pictures on here and on my google reader.
  • work is very picky. I usually don't try many sites anymore. And I'm really surprised I'm been able to get into the knot/nest all these years! I can get into some blogs also. And my yahoo email. But no facebook... myspace... any entertainment type news on the main yahoo/msn type pages etc.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Facebook, People, tinypic (but I can get tnyurl), tmz, and any lingerie website ie: Victoria Secert :(
  • jenthjenth member

youtube is blocked...  The other sites seem to be random.  Facebook isn't blocked, but the applications are.

I think that they keep track of how many hits web sites get and start blocking based on that.  They might also have a word search in the url or something, I'm not sure how they choose what to block.
