Please help me with Avondale vacation home...
My family is going to be coming to Phoenix area in November as a surprise bday gift for my dad - he's always wanted to go to a Nascar race. We thought it'd be easiest to be close to the race track since the boys (DH, my dad and my brother) will be going to the races 3 of the 5 days we're there (the other 2 days are travel days). My mom and I will just be hanging out at the house mostly with DS.
On vrbo we found a vacation home in Avondale. It is only 10 minutes from the track which is good. It has enough room for all of us and a pool so that my mom and I can hang out there with DS. I basically am just wondering if it's in a good area. Also, if there is any shopping or anything else close by for my mom and I. I don't want to put the full address but it's located on N 109th Ave. Any info would be great!

Avondale is a pretty nice city with lots of shopping centers, but no Mall.
If anyone golf's there is an awesome driving range there as well as golf course.
