Building in York County

We are looking to build in York.  Looking at Charter & Keystone Homes.  Just wondering what kind of negotiation experience you might have had?  What did you end up getting out of them?  So far, no one has made us any great offers.

I don't have any personal experiences with either of those companies, however, I believe there is/was a lawsuit out against Keystone Homes in Camp Hill (?) because their foundations were falling apart. I know two people that have used them and have not been happy with the quality of workmanship. But like I said, I have no experience with them myself. GL!

We used Charter in Cumberland County and we haven't been 100% satisfied but I do have to say we have been very satisfied and our build experience has been pretty painless especially compared to several different friends of ours that have recently built.  Most of our frustration has come since close in dealing with the gentleman who takes care of issues after the fact.  We haven't had anything major luckily but he's terrible at communicating and it has been like pulling teeth to get stuff done.

Lindyanne-  Was there any further negotiation on the price for you guys?  Or, is what they say, it?  We did like Charter better than Keystone.

They were offering a crazy incentive - half off your upgrades up to a $50k discount so we didn't even try.
