Female Question?

Have any of you experienced a hormone imbalance? I feel so off lately....

After having my first baby my hormones went all wacky and I started getting migraines. When I was pregnant with my son, the testosterone balanced me out and the migraines went away. Evan is now 15 months and I feel way off.  I feel like I'm PMS-ing all the time....headaches, migraines, fatigue, irritability, dizziness, bloating....there are more that I just can't think of at the moment. This can't be normal, right? Any information that you can pass my way would be appreciated! I really need to get this under control.

Thanks!

Re: Female Question?

  • Do you find yourself being b!tchy for no reason, and you know it but you can't help it?

My mom and sister have PMDD and its like that. :( My mom didn't know until she hit menopause. my sister just noticed a few months back, and she's on meds now.

Not saying that's what you have, but it's an idea?

Hope you figure it out and feel better soon!!

  • ummmm.....maybe sometimes? lol. What kind of meds is she on? Has she mentioned if she's feeling better?
  • Not sure on the meds. I know she had to go to her GYN to get them. And we don't really talk, but from what my mom says she's doing better. :)
  • Like jillian's sis n mom, I found myself just like them and could've probly been diagnosed with PMDD, but instead found a site online dealing with high levels of estrogen.

Everything fit AMAZINGLY (and does with PMDD, for the most part!). I started putting progesterone cream on twice a day for the past few months and it has almost completely stopped all symptoms!! And I was CRAAAZZZY (and bloating, fatigue, headaches, etc). Excess estrogen can create a LOT of problems, and progesterone is a hormone that there are really aren't any side effects if you have too much (which most women don't!). www.progesteronetherapy.com is the site I've been using and it is AWESOME! I posted questions too, and the person that runs is was quick to answer and very knowledgeable.

Just an idea for you!!  GL!

  • Thank you so much! These suggestions are a great help. I REALLY appreciate it!

    Big Smile

  • Np, I think there are a lot of things about the female body they DON'T teach young women in school that would be potentially important to know! It's sad, really! Good luck and I hope you find something that works for you!
