Re: **Whine Wednesday**

  • I ordered a dress two weeks ago to wear to a rehearsal for the wedding I'm in this weekend, and it hasn't even shipped yet.  I have a backup dress that I can borrow from a friend... but I really want the one I bought!

And something is wrong with my dog, and it really scares me.  I've never had a dog live to be older than 9, and we think Boston is about 8 now, so I am so afraid that whatever is wrong could be "the big one".  I have a vet appointment tomorrow morning, but I just want him to fell better!

  • My darling child is waking every two hour again...*sigh* I'm so excited he has teeth and he is finding his voice (he woke up screeching at like 1am and when I looked over at him- he was smiling proudly) but I wish he would find it at say 7am...

  • We had some very bad storms last night...lightning hit so close to our building it set the fire alarm off. We had to leave and went to the grocery store with the dog just to get away from the sound, even though there was no real emergency.

Tonight we are in for more of the same. And I have a parent event which I think means very few will show. ::sigh::

  • I'm back from 2 weeks on Seneca Lake, and it's a mess at home!  DH is one who leaves clutter/junk everywhere.  I mean, I have my moments too where I'm messy (not dirty, but definitely messy), but geez man!  We have a house guest coming today and an overflowing recycling bin and piles of plastic bags do NOT make for an attractive entryway.  I thought that would be common sense but I guess it's not.

Since I'm now on summer vacation I take over all cleaning duties and I feel like he let it get super messy on purpose knowing he wouldn't have to clean it up.

We have a wedding to travel to out of town this weekend and I know I'll have so much fun, but work is so crazy there's a huge part of me that would really just like to stay home and relax with DH for a weekend.

  • I know I have whined about this before, but I need to again...we want to buy a new home. Our home is great and we love it, but its 25 years old and is about to become a money pit--roof and windows need to be replaced. We think it is wiser to spend what we would spend on repairs on a newer home.

We have been looking at homes for almost one year. We want to capitalize on the great mortgage rates, and we would like to do all of this before we are placed with a baby.

The rub is this...we can't find what we are looking for! We can get either more sq footage (which we are not sure we want) or same sq footage we have now but with upgrades.  I'd happily take opinions on what you this would be smarter!

  • I feel like a prisoner in my own home.  This whole mess with unemployment hasn't gotten any better.  I look for jobs constantly.  I still haven't had a hearing yet for my unemployment (hopefully within the next few weeks), which means no money.  I'm so upset and depressed over it I feel like I can't do anything.  I sit inside all day just about every day.  I know it isn't healthy, but that is how crappy it has gotten for me.  I can't believe I've been out of work for three months.  ARGH!!
  • I start tutoring tomorrow after summer school so my half days are about to end. I have liked coming home at 1.

  • not really anything...my DH left to go play in a golf outing (which is fine with me), but it is so nice out and I have hte day off, I would love for him to be with us.  We did all take a nice long walk at Green Lakes State Park together this morning.  Evan and I just went back for an hour of beach/swimming...but it would have been nice if DH was there, because Evan had a ball.

  • Financial issues....DH's unemployment is still being withheld...I wish the government would get their act together and realize how much things are affecting people.

Also, trying to find a new job.  Its so discouraging.  I have a Master's degree and struggle.

  • A girl in my class yelled at me (Mean Girls style) because I didn't pick her up last night after the hike.  First of all I wanted to hike too but I was asked by a few people to drive because I was one of the only people in the class with a car (most people flew to the class).  So I told them I'd drive rather than hike.  Secondly, those 2 people who wanted me to drive them cancelled on me because of the rain so now driving was pointless but the people that went on the hike already left before the people cancelled so I got stuck in the dorm for hours waiting for them to return.  Third, I went to where I was supposed to meet people to give me directions and no one was there to tell me where to go hence getting stuck in the dorm.  So this morning she yelled when I asked what happened.  I was just trying to help and she wouldn't listen to me when I tried to explain what I just said above.

Everyone sitting near me was like, what a b!tch!
