PSA: Burn After Reading

Was a hilarious movie, and I recommend it.

Has anyone else seen a great movie lately?  My Netflix queue needs some new material.

  • havent seen it but i say give step brothers another try. OMG we LOVE that movie. we saw it last night lol

  • @ Vanessa, it was definitely dry humor.  But we enjoyed it.  I think we mostly laughed at how strange the characters were, lol.

@ Didi, that movie sucked, soooo 2008.  I love Will Ferrel, but that movie was lousy.  Did you see that Will Ferrel is making a new movie with Marky Mark?  Clearly Mark's career is in the toilet if he's stooped to this level  Confused

  • I haven't seen Precious or heard anything about it.  What is it about?

ETA:  I just read the synopsis....um that sounds like a terribly depressing movie....

  • it was way depressing, but thought provoking too.  nice production value for a low budg film and excellent performances...
  • I think the book Push was so much better than the movie Precious. The movie was good, but the book had so much more hope and strength resonating through it.

I just saw Away We Go and really loved it. Sweet little movie!

  • I just read the summary, and it sounds like a really cute movie!  Plus, I loooooove John Krasinski from The Office!!!  Thank you for the rec  :)

Eh...those are not qualities I look for in a movie, lol.  I like to relax, unwind and enjoy myself when I watch a movie.  I hate leaving a movie either pissed or sobbing.

Well, it was also more horrific, but I think the book better portrayed her triumphs.

  • Oooh oooh! I just remembered a movie that I really want to watch. I haven't actually seen it yet, but I just finished the book and it was riveting. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It's in Swedish w/subtitles.
