What's your workout?

So I'm super proud of myself for working out the past 3 weeks regularly (4ish times a week). Mostly with my mini tramp. Today, I got my bike back in shape (aired it up, oiled it) and took the dog out with it! I'm amazed how awesome it is to wear my dog out, and I still got a good workout, despite 110 degrees when I was out! I have the hardest time keeping up with working out when it's this hot (and no more access to a pool). :(

So what do you do? The gym? Exercise videos? Treadmill? Biking? Hiking? Swimming?

Re: What's your workout?

  • I usually ride my bike for about an hour and sometimes hike at the white tanks.

I love to just ride around and look at all the houses for sale in my neighborhood.

  • i unfortunately do nothing. i really need to get off my ass, but i just don't feel like it. lol. good for you though! i have no self motivation, and i don't really have much time to myself anyway. i do chase after d quite a bit, i guess that counts

  • Whats workout?

Is that the thing with the Wii Fit? That I've only done 3 times since i got it for mothers day?

  • I have the Wii EA Active, that's actually a good workout.  When the weather is nice I'll walk the dog.  Otherwise, I go to the gym.  I run 1-minute intervals for 20-30 minutes or do the Elliptical and ride the bike for 45 minutes.  Then I lift weights for another 30 minutes or so.  I would substitute the cardio for a step class 2 days a week.

Of course, now that I'm pregnant, that stuff rarely gets done.  On a good day I'll go to the gym and walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes then lift light weights for 20 minutes.

  • I just started taking Aikido classes (kind of like karate) and I really love it!  I hate the gym, so I try and do activities.  I used to bike ride with my H, but then he got really good at it and I can not keep up, haha.  I love dance classes, like Zumba, it is so fun!  Leading up to the wedding I did the 30 Day Shred, and while it helped me loose weight, I got bored with it pretty easily, which is the probably I have with most exercise!

  • In my usual, non-pregnancy state (and when it's not 112 degrees), I would do a lot of hiking and play tennis with Mike, along with an elliptical I had at home and some free weights. My elliptical recently died (sniff), so I bought a little stepper to replace it, which I love. So now, in my pregnant state, I've kept up with the stepper and the free weights. It's too hot to hike and tennis is too risky (there are lots of little pebbles on our court and I don't want to fall). We also have a fitness center at work, so on slow days, I'll go walk for 45-60 minutes. I have found that I feel best during the pregnancy on days that I'm active, so I have kept working out at 3-4 times a week.
  • I have an elliptical that I *try* to use 3-4 times a week for an hour at a time.  I'm going to do the master cleanse diet next week before a boudoir session, I'm so excited!!!

    Oooh la la!! How fun!

  • My workout is 15 months old and his name is Evan. lol. I don't have much time to work out so I do the 30 day shred with Jillian Michaels a few times a week. It's an excellent workout and it only takes 20 minutes to kick your butt! When it's not too hot, I put the kids in the double jogger and walk the lakes by our house.

  • Swimming whenever I get a chance to!  My mom also got me a prenatal jazzercise dvd which I try to do a couple times a week.
