Another 10 lbs...

of chocolate.

We still have a buttload of kisses. And I find myself eating them. At least they're small, eh? Well, maybe not when you eat 6 or 8. I can't figure out what to do with all the extras. They'll still be good for a while, but I don't wanna end up throwing them out! I wish the holidays were closer, cuz I could incorporate them in gifts, but not in July.

Any ideas? :-D

Re: Another 10 lbs...

  • No real ideas, except get rid of them.  Seriously.  Take them to work.  Give them to a neighbor.  If you can't just give them away to someone, toss them.  You can either waste them by thowing them out, or you can waste them by derailing your own goals.

Or you can stay strong and stash them away for future use, but make sure they're hard to get to.  Good luck!  :)

  • I could stash and not touch it. (H can't!!) I hate throwing them out (since we PAID for them), I hate being wasteful. :-P I don't have a work to bring them to (I'm self-employed and do in-home sessions), H maybe could bring some.... and maybe the neighbors, the ones we like best have 3 kids and they whole family has big sweet teeth! :-D Hmm.... yeah, I def have to get rid of (most) of them.
  • we have 10 lbs of taffy left, too! H is slowly eating it, but i'm going to take it to work and give it away. it's not good for either of us. :/
  • Zora, you could put them all in a freezer bag and freeze them till the holidays. I've done that a lot of times with chocolate left over from Easter and other holidays. I like to bake a lot and when I have way too much chocolate left over I make other sweets and take them to nursing homes, school or work. I'm not sure if baking would help you with your diet though. I normally eat some of the sweets. LOL. HTH :)
  • Freeze them and get them out at Christmas to make the Hershey kiss cookies!

I, too, am ALL over that.

And I don't think I'd wait until Christmas.  I'd make those peanut butter kiss cookies now.  Yummmmm...
