Okay I want to help her but i'm lost as to where to start. She has been looking for 7 months! It's getting down to the wire and she has to find a full time job that pays decent and has health care...end of the year she is done as far as her severance pay.
Does anyone have any leads for jobs? She has almost 30 years corporate field. Started as a secretary and kept moving up, he most recent work was accounts receivable...in her 20 years she also worked in the areas of pricing and receiving, cash applications and a credit administrator...All this was working in a large corporation who is well know for the pink panther (building materials, insulation and composites)
She has even considered going back to school to change fields...she also applied for a position with the catholic diocease for a secretary or something.
anything, something?
I don't mean not to sound picky either but $8/9/hour isn't going to cut it. She needs to provide for a family and pay bills!
Thanks!
Re: Can anyone help?---my mom still needs a job :(
Last week there was job information going around the office...
You may want to forward this to someone looking for a job.
I have some friends needing help filling some jobs.
1) A church in Toledo needs a secretary that speaks Polish.
2) A Large hotel in Toledo needs a restaurant manager with creative energy.
3) A chef in Sylvania restaurant (Southbriar) needs an evening line cook
4) Southbriar also needs a mature person to train as a part time server (Nights and some weekends) (any age over 22 that actually shows up for work would be nice)
5) A carpet cleaning company needs a daytime worker to work in Toledo area.
Please forward this to anyone appropriate.
and then...
Sts. Adalbert and Hedwig Parish is searching for a part-time office assistant, Mon-Fri , (20) hours per week, to provide administrative office support. A practicing Catholic is preferred with at least 2 years experience working in an office setting. A cover letter indicating compensation requirement and resume can be sent
If you want information on any of these let me know and I can PM you the information.
The turnpike is hiring part time toll collectors. They pay decent, and maybe PT could move to FT. i know its not the ideal job, but it is a very tough market right now. I looked for over a year and had to settle w/ a customer service job, thank god at a good company. But not what I really wanted to do.
