srsly...charity walks on your resume?
I reviewed a resume yesterday for a position @ my company. She had a good resume. JD from a decent school, detailed out her experience, and listed pro bono work. She also listed her volunteering & professional affiliations in a separate section, which is fine b/c I like to know people are involved in something besides work.....but she also listed stuff like "Houston Race for the Cure - participant, 2002-2006" for about five different charity walks. I mean, seriously...you spend 30 minutes a year running a 5K, it doesn't need to go on your professional resume. We're an oil and gas company, not a non-profit.

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted and used against you. My Blog
That just made me laugh. Seriously?
Awesome! One time a guy submitted a photo with his. For a job in finance. It did not help his cause.....
yeah, you can't make that stuff up.
many of the "singles" would also attach a photo. which sucked b/c it is pretty much illegal to even look at it, never mind make an open judgement by it. it did make for fun watercooler chat though.
